Join us each Tuesday for some amazing adventure ideas that you can do on your computer, at home, or around Albany!

Albany Gems Dance Team Summer Sessions

Do you love to dance? If you are going to be a 3rd-8th grade student this fall, then Albany’s competitive youth dance team might be the place for you! Coach Ashley Custis and team will offer multiple workshops this summer as an introduction to dance technique, different styles of dance, and lessons in teamwork and team building.

Fun in the Park "To Go"

Summer might look a little different this year… but we are determined to have fun! Since we can’t come together, we are bringing the fun to you with cool activity kits that you can do at home or at your favorite park. We will also have fun surprises and giveaways. Drive thru one or all seven of our “to go” events to pick up some fun! Trust us, you don’t want to miss out!

Sewing Camps

Sewing Basics, American Girl Clothes, and Teen Fashion Week Day Camps are being offered for the first time this summer! Kids will not only get to try something new and learn some new skills, but bring home their projects and use them for years to come. Camps are available for youth ages 9-16 – check them out!

Summer Camps

Summer camp registration is open and camps begin on July 6! We have missed our young friends and can’t wait to begin our summer of fun. Safety is our top priority, which is why we are making modifications to our camps that align with public health recommendations.

Wilderness Skills Camps

Get outside and learn new skills this summer with Coyle Outside! From fishing, to survival, to art, they’re doing it all this summer. All Coyle Outside camps are offered in partnership with Corvallis Parks & Recreation and located in Corvallis.

Adult Tennis Lessons

Learn to play for the first time, improve your game, or put to use that long-neglected racket. These classes focus on the fundamentals of tennis including ground strokes, volleys, serves, and positioning. Make this the summer you enjoy tennis.

Kealy's Summer Tennis Camps

As the Head Tennis Pro at Albany Tennis Club, Darryl Kealy has been directing/teaching tennis camps for 40 years. From beginner to advanced there is somethign for all skill levels.

Skyhawk Sports Camps

Albany Parks and Recreation Sports is excited to partner with Skyhawks Sports, a leader in youth sports camps since 1979 to provide high quality sports camps that focus on teaching life skills through sports.

Aqua Jog

Aqua jogging is a group fitness class with a trained professional teaching for about an hour. The classes focus on aerobic endurance, resistance training, and creating an enjoyable atmosphere sometimes with music.

Household Recreation Swim

Gather up the entire family for some fun in the pool! Members of the same household are invited to come and swim together. Adults are required with anyone under age 16.

Lap Swim

Lap Swim is exactly what it sounds like - swimming laps! Do your own personal training routine. When the shallow end is available, walking is permitted.

Personal Exercise

Aqua jogging is so fun & popular. This is not an instructor led session and participants must remain socially distanced from other participants. Flotation devices are available.

Senior Fitness

Senior Fitness is a group fitness class with a trained professional teaching for 45 minutes. The classes focus on aerobic endurance, resistance training, and creating an enjoyable social atmosphere sometimes with music.

Water Aerobics

Water Aerobics is a group fitness class with a trained professional instuctor. The classes focus on aerobic endurance, resistance training, and creating an enjoyable atmosphere sometimes with music.

Youth Swim Lessons

The Albany Community Pool will be offering Youth Lessons. July 28 - August 20 / Tuesdays and Thursdays. Pre-School Classes for ages 3 to 5 years will require a parent to be in the water with their child.

Dust off those pressure cookers and learn how to prepare healthy delicious meals.

Homemade Sauces and Salsas

The secret to a delicious Mexican meal is in the rich flavor of your homemade sauce or salsa. You will learn how to make a wide variety of salsas and sauces to accompany your most favorite Mexican dishes.

Seafood Celebration

Join Chef Leonor as she walks you through three famous Mexican seafood dishes using her own secret recipes! You will learn how to make fresh ceviche, Mexican style shrimp cocktail, and camarones a la diabla (deviled style shrimp).

Practice letter forms and handwriting in this class that will help you fine-tune your artistic talents.

Beginning Sewing

Learn the fundamentals of sewing! This class is for the new sewist and for those who need a refresher.

Fused Glass Mystery

Join us to create a beautiful fused mystery item, even if you’ve never worked with glass before! Simply arrange different shapes and types of colored glass elements to make your very own unique design.

Fused Glass Pocket Vase

You will create what is sometimes referred to as a wall vase. They hang flat on your wall to show off all year round!

Handmade Felt Gnome

Gnomes are mischievous creatures! Learn to make your own version of these happy fellows out of handmade wool felt. This project is a fun way to learn some basic felting techniques.

Learn to make a beautiful scarf with silk cloth ruffles held together by felted wool fiber.
